Big Brother Comes To Town

Big Brother Is Watching

An Unlikely Prompt

I wanted to write this article because of 2 internet related things that I spotted recently. The first is that the latest Google Maps has no obvious “Print” button, it is there but buried, and the second was this www.resetthenet.org which is about what governments are trying to do with the internet. Mostly the US NSA in this case.

It’s not the first time I have mentioned this subject and the reason I do again is because what’s happening at the moment is still really quite disturbing. Big Brother is making his way to town not with a bang but with an insidious creep most of the time. The internet is a two edged sword and those that would abuse it are always a concern that we all need to keep in check. One day we may wake up and find that some of those nightmare films of the future are now the present. As it is some of the things that were science fiction only 20 or 30 years ago are real everyday things now so we can’t just ignore things. READ MORE

Can We Deliver What We Expect?

Can We Deliver What We Expect

The Benefit Of Doubt

By nature I tend to give benefit of doubt. This annoys my wife who just thinks I’m always defending other people. I tend to say things like “well, maybe there was a good reason”, “Perhaps we should hear both sides of the story” or “everyone makes mistakes”. Sometimes she’s right and perhaps I see the best when it’s not always there but I prefer giving the benefit of doubt than damn everyone who makes a mistake.

Mind you, I can still burn someones ear off if I think they are taking the mickey. READ MORE

The Ingredients Needed To Make A Successful Online Entrepreneur

Richard Branson

The Online Entrepreneur

This post is more of a compilation that I have pulled together from the musings and teachings of a lot of successful online entrepreneurs. After a while you start to notice a pattern of common traits. It’s not just about online entrepreneurs but any entrepreneur, athlete, musician or other successful person.

There’s a certain amount of “those that would lead” and “those that would follow” or if you like “I’m going to make a difference” or “I’m going to go with the flow” and it’s not cut and dried as we are often a mixture of different traits. READ MORE

I don’t know why it works?

Law Of Attraction?

Have you heard of the Law of Attraction? If you have then maybe you thought it was a load of old rubbish and if you haven’t then maybe you will think it’s a load of old rubbish. Maybe you will think it’s amazing. Maybe it doesn’t matter because many successful people believe in the Law of Attraction and whether you believe in the Law of Attraction or not, it seems to work. Actually it makes a lot of sense and it’s not really so mysterious when you think about it.

Ok, Ok, So What Is “The Law Of Attraction”?

If you boil it down the Law of Attraction means that if you think about something in the right way it will manifest itself. You will attract that thing to you or you will be attracted to it. This works for the good and the bad so in a way, be careful what you wish for! It doesn’t pop out of the air like a genie out of a lamp though, we are not talking about a miracle although sometimes it can be miraculous. READ MORE

Constant complainer

Constant complainer – really a pain in the —

In this post I’m just copying word for word from Donna Merrill’s excellent article on constant complainers. I couldn’t put it better myself so here it is. If you suffer from a constant complainer then I feel for you and if you are a constant complainer then I feel for you too but please, if you can change your attitude you will have a better life and so will those around you!

Sorry if anyone is offended but really, this is so true. I have had my fill of constant complainers this week hence this blog. READ MORE

Make the application and get in now!

Digital Marketing!

If you have been following my blogs then you will know by now that I always try to be straight with people and this post is no different.

The important bit – a heads up

Much of the Six Figure Mentors is about quality and that side of things is going to get even better. In fact if you have any interest in Digital Marketing and believe that the Six Figure Mentors might be right for you then you should get into it now before things do change.  I can’t say anything about what is happening until it’s all formally announced but there’s nothing else out there quite like it and it is definitely an advantage to at least make an application to join the SFM now and, here’s the link. If you have already seen enough and have more or less decided that the Six Figure Mentors is right for you then you can join up here. Don’t leave it too long though, by the time we get to November 2012 it may be too late. READ MORE

The Charles Schulz Philosophy

Peanuts

Actually this is a bit wet but hey … I like Peanuts, I work for em and we need a bit of trivia now and then 🙂

Take the time to Scroll thru slowly and read carefully to receive and enjoy full effect.

The following is the philosophy of Charles Schulz, the creator of the ‘Peanuts’ comic strip.

You don’t have to actually answer the questions. Just ponder on them.

Just read the e-mail straight through, and you’ll get the point.

  1. Name the five wealthiest people in the world.
  2. Name the last five Heisman trophy winners.
  3. Name the last five winners of the Miss America pageant.
  4. Name ten people who have won the Nobel or Pulitzer Prize.
  5. Name the last half dozen Academy Award winners for best actor and actress.
  6. Name the last decade’s worth of World Series winners.

How did you do?

The point is, none of us remember the headliners of yesterday.

These are no second-rate achievers.

They are the best in their fields.

But the applause dies.. READ MORE

10 Things I like about the Six Figure Mentors

10 Things I like about the Six Figure Mentors

There are loads of “how to make it on the internet” websites and systems out there.  Some of them are just giving you information, some of them give you a system and some include tools to help you on your way, some of them are good, some of them are average and no doubt some of them are probably rubbish.

Why pick one over the other … why did I pick the Six Figure Mentors?

I had already looked at some few of these systems but to be honest I took interest in the Six Figure Mentors because it was recommended to me by someone I trusted and by someone who had already spent some time and money looking at various systems.  That isn’t to say I signed up straight away, I looked into it and watched quite a few videos, read some reports and checked out what other people on the internet had to say about it.  I checked for scams and complaints, apart from the odd malcontent the overwhelming majority of people including those in the know gave it an excellent review.  Overall I was impressed and had no doubts so I signed up, and it has so far been a really good decision. We stopped being wise

I was going to to do a blog here about not clinging to things that don’t work but instead I want to share this video from Barry Schwartz who I think has a fine mind and puts into perspective what we humans can be like.  It’s about 20 minutes long but I hope it will help you think for the better and perhaps apply it to your daily life … enjoy …

“Barry Schwartz makes a passionate call for “practical wisdom” as an antidote to a society gone mad with bureaucracy. He argues powerfully that rules often fail us, incentives often backfire, and practical, everyday wisdom will help rebuild our world. READ MORE

Balancing your scepticism

Today I want to talk about balancing your scepticism.

This was bugging me most of yesterday because some people are so negative and cynical that they won’t acccept anything. They analyse things so much that they can end up talking themselves out of a good opportunity. There is a lot of junk out there so you have to have some caution but don’t go over the top.

Successful people are positive and open to look at things, you see this time and time again. They tend to able to more easily identify a good opportunity and reject this things that are probably no good. READ MORE
